Accept what is.
Let go what was.
Believe in what will be.

I love helping people find their way out of feeling helpless and lost. It is such a joy to see someone find that inner strength within to empower themselves to achieve their goals. No matter where we are in life, childhood, adolescence, or adulthood, we can find ourselves lost and in need of guidance. Or at other times, drowning and in need of a flotation device! Either way, I feel confident we can find a way to getting you to a healthier place.

Sometimes we find ourselves in a place that wasn't quite where we expected. I enjoy coaching those who want to change their path, no matter how big or small of a change. That change may be within you, or may be something in your life. With my coaching, I will help you get there.

I have been a clinical social worker for over 20 years. I have a Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. My experience also includes working in hospitals and outreach in the community.
As a single mom of 2 wonderful teenagers, it’s hard to believe that one of them is going to be graduating this year! Two ornery old men, a dog named Jack and a cat named Monty are also a part of my family.

Counseling Explained

See it yourself just to get a better understanding of how our team of therapists work!

What is Counseling? It has many names - Therapy; Intervention; Coaching; Support. And a Counselor takes on many roles, including therapist; facilitator; mediator; advocate.
Coleman Counseling Center includes all of these and more. My style of counseling is eclectic. I start where the client is. I gather the information to see the whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Then we discuss how the problems they face in their personal or professional lives are affecting these areas in their life. This is when I like to involve my clients in the therapy process. I ask, where do you want to go from here?”

  • Adjusting to Change / Life Transitions
  • Divorce / Divorce Adjustment
  • Addiction / Compulsion
  • Anxiety / Depression / Domestic Violence
  • Midlife Crisis / Midlife Transition
  • Self Confidence / Self Love
  • Relationships and marriage

I see individuals from ages 10 to adults on a case by case basis. I have experience working with men and women on a large variety of issues, including work problems, depression, anxiety, relationships, sexuality, and family issues.

My per session rate for individuals is $100/session. I do have a sliding scale for those who are in need of assistance.

The insurance plans I am a provider for are:

  • BCBS Advantage Medicare
  • Magellan
  • United Healthcare
  • United Healthcare EAP

  • Alliance Work Partners EAP

I see married and unmarried couples, including same sex couples. I also see families. I have had quite a bit of experience working with couples and families over the years, working on communication, behavior modification, and rebuilding trust.

My per session rate for couples and families is $120/session. I do accept a sliding sliding scale for those who are in need of assistance. I plan to be on Multiple insurance plans sometime in 2018.

I see individuals for Life Coaching. This is not therapy. This is a very different arrangement. Life Coaching is for those that have decided that they would like to make a change in their life, but need some assistance in getting it done.

We set up 2 initial visits at $120/session and set up your coaching plan and the goals. Then for $200/month I am available via phone call, text, or email for check ins on your progress and direction to keep you on your path towards success.

What our satisfied clients say about us. Here are comments from individuals who have availed our services.

"Mr. Joe"

I loved the atmosphere you created. The lavender and sage walls and fireplace were so calming and peaceful to look at. You provided a very safe and comfortable environment for me to discuss difficult situations.

"Ms. Jane"

The office environment was very soothing. It is like being at a spa. I felt completely comfortable talking about my feeling. You were always there to listen and offer advice. I was completely satisfied with you as my therapist.

"Ms. Ashley"

I am in a better place in my life as a direct result of the work I've done with Rebecca. She is truly skillful in guiding me to useful insight into my issues. More importantly, she is a genuinely caring person who creates a safe environment for exploring new ways of thinking and relating to myself and my marriage. I highly recommend Rebecca as a therapist.

Mrs. Cindy

Rebecca helped us navigate some very difficult emotions. She is an excellent mediator. And her counseling allowed us to reach a level of communication and understanding that we were not able to reach on our own.

Mrs. Julie

Rebecca has a amazing way of communicating with children and my kids love her!! My son saw her for a short period of time earlier in the year then he didn’t see her for 3 months and his behavior started to drastically change including major issues at school as well!! Upon starting back sessions with Rebecca his behavior has improved so much yet again!! I am so grateful for all Rebecca has done in Helping my children!
